The special services staff in McLaughlin provide individually designed instruction to assist our students' learning in
the least restrictive environment possible. The district continues to develop and implement free appropriate
public education programs in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) for students
from ages 3-21.  The school district promotes ongoing professional development to assist all staff in becoming
more effective in working inclusively with students with disabilities. Our students are serviced by a team of professionals
including qualified special education teachers, paraprofessionals, speech/language therapists, occupational and
physical therapists, and a school psychologist.
